On Saturday, November 6, the Helpers of God's Precious Infants held their final prayer vigil at the Planned Parenthood in the U-district, as Planned Parenthood has closed down their location on the corner of 9th and 45th.
This is the abortion site where Msgr. Philip Reilly began the local chapter of the Helpers of God's Precious Infants 13 years ago. Since that time, the Helpers have gone to Mass at Blessed Sacrament every First Saturday and then processed to Planned Parenthood, praying outside the facility to end abortion.
A total of 156 Masses have been offered, and countless Rosaries and Divine Mercy Chaplets prayed at this site. In addition, the first and second Seattle 40 Days for Life campaigns took place outside this Planned Parenthood.
Matt Ulrich, the President of the Seattle Chapter of the Helpers of God's Precious Infants, shared, "I am thanking God for closing down this abortion site." Aaron Stockton, who led the 40 Days for Life campaigns at this location stated, "God is good and He honors prayers." Please join Matt, Aaron, and all those who have prayed outside this abortion facility over the years in thanking God for its closure.

Two more mothers cancelled their abortion appointments at Cedar River this past Wednesday, November 3. Please pray that they will keep their babies.
Here are the stories:
Wednesday morning, Sarah Schaper and Paul Robertson were praying in front of the abortion center. Paul was able to stop a Hispanic lady headed into Cedar River, and to offer her help. Since she spoke mostly Spanish, Paul called the Gabriel Project in Dallas, TX, and was able to have one of their volunteers speak on the phone with the Hispanic mother. Then he phoned Silvia Adams, who speaks Spanish, and she was able to come to the scene, and meet with this mother at a coffee shop. Silvia was wonderful for reassuring her of our help, and Silvia arranged for her to see an ultrasound, at a CareNet facility in Kenmore. Since Silvia had to pick up her children from school, she asked me to take the mother up to Kenmore, for an ultrasound early afternoon. So we headed up together. I was so excited; this would be my first ultrasound.
The CareNet ladies were totally awesome, and they did a superb job of helping us with everything. I admire them greatly! They ended up using me as interpreter, since I know some Spanish, and I felt like I used every word I ever learned.
It was so amazing seeing the little unborn baby on the ultrasound screen! The mother seemed so happy and peaceful when she saw her baby, and she told us, during the time at CareNet, that she wanted her baby.
We gave her a blanket from CareNet, and then I brought her to her home in Bellevue. Silvia is staying in contact with her, and we will be helping her with anything she needs.
It's so amazing how God used all of us to help this mother and child! I felt like we were all in this together.
Now the second story:
While I was taking the Hispanic mother to CareNet, Father Ed White was leading prayer at Cedar River, with some St. Stephen parishioners. Trish Warfel stopped a man, who was driving out after dropping his wife off for an abortion at Cedar River, and Trish began to offer him some help. He seemed unsure about the abortion, and agreed to talk about it. (He also had a little baby in the car.) Fr. White encouraged the man to call his wife, and ask her to come out and talk about this before proceeding with the abortion. He did call her, and she agreed to come out! Father and Trish then went to pizza with the man, his wife, and their little baby. They found that the man and his wife already had four children, and did not particularly want an abortion, but family difficulties were leading them to seek an abortion. They assured the little family that we will be eager to help them in any way! And that an abortion would only cause them greater pain, difficulty, and regret.
God is so good! I know that all of us were involved in these amazing stories, through our prayers, presence at Cedar River, and support. Thank you all so much! Let us continue to do this great work for God and each other.
