FDA Records Indicate 28 Deaths in 2008 Related to HPV Vaccine
WASHINGTON, DC, June 24, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Judicial Watch, a public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced this week that it has obtained records from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) documenting 28 deaths in 2008 that may be associated with Gardasil, the vaccination for human papillomavirus (HPV), up from the 19 deaths in 2007.
The total number of Gardasil-related deaths is 47 since the vaccine was approved in 2006. Overall, the FDA documented 6,723 "adverse events" related to Gardasil in 2008, of which 1,061 were considered "serious," and 142 considered "life threatening." Read more...

Please Pray for the Repose of the Soul of Marie Parker
Marie Parker died peacefully among her family and friends on Friday, June 12th at the age of 89. Marie may have been just a bit over 4 feet in height, but she was a pillar of faith at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Renton for many, many years. She was full of love, and zeal for the defense of life for unborn babies and for the well-being of US Veterans. She was strong of body and mind, always very busy, and was recently seen cutting limbs from the trees in her yard!
Marie participated in and finished, with ease, the 3K walk last fall for 4US. She never missed the March for Life in Olympia. She loved Our Blessed Mother and praying the Rosary, everywhere, and especially at pro-life vigils!
Marie had been a Navy Nurse in World War II. She always felt great affection for those who serve our country. And she worked tirelessly raising money for the health and well-being of Veterans and their families, even raising $1000 for their cause selling 'poppies' after Masses 3 weeks ago.
Marie is already missed by so many of her friends and her very large family. She always had a smile and hug and an interesting tidbit of information to share with all she met. May she rest eternally in the peace and presence of our loving Lord.

Planned Parenthood wants to open next to elementary school
Posted By: Human Life of Washington-State Office, Dan Kennedy, CEO
Date: 17 June 2009
Planned Parenthood’s desire to open a new facility next to an elementary school in Pasco, Washington, is highly disturbing to area residents. Fliers warning of PP’s intentions have been delivered to those who live near 3901 W. Court Street, a former real estate office that PP hopes to move into.
As mentioned on tricityherald.com, the proposed Planned Parenthood facility would be only 60 to 80 feet south of the school’s playing field, with a crosswalk providing access from the school to the facility.
The plan to move into the predominantly Hispanic, low-income area reflects PP’s philosophy of targeting minorities and the economically disadvantaged. The fact that the site chosen for the facility is near an elementary school comes as no surprise, since PP peddles its sex education programs to children as young as those in prekindergarten.

THE CULTURE OF DEATH HAS NO WINNERS
Posted: Monday June 1, 2009 at 9:37 am EST by Judie Brown
Upon learning of the tragic murder of abortionist George Tiller, about whom I have written on numerous occasions, our staff realized that I was 34,000 feet in the air. As I would have hoped, American Life League’s Executive Director, Shaun Kenney, who was on the ground, issued the following public statement on behalf of American Life League:
Leaders within the pro-life movement often discuss justice in connection with our mission to end the tragedy of abortion. Today, Dr. George Tiller's life ended in an act defying those principles.
With genuine sorrow, we reflect on today's events in prayer. Justice for all human beings includes the lives of those with whom we fundamentally disagree as well as the victims of abortion. We firmly hope the perpetrators of this act are apprehended, that the facts be made known, and that justice according to the law is preserved and dispensed.
Today's actions were tragic, and serve as another reminder that all human life is sacred. Pro-lifers by our nature and commitment to human rights reject violence as a means of resistance. Our thoughts and prayers indeed extend to the Tiller family and the community at Reformation Lutheran Church.
It is with unrestrained dedication to the principle that each human being is loved by God and is indeed His creation that our hearts go out to the Tiller family including his surviving wife who is the mother of his four children and to his grandchildren. A senseless act of violence should never be answered with any words other than those extended with the love of Christ. For those reasons, I am personally proud of our executive director, and pray that others who have said less prudent things will take note of what it truly means to be pro-life in America. Gravely Wicked
by Robert P. George
National Review Online
Whoever murdered George Tiller has done a gravely wicked thing. The evil of this action is in no way diminished by the blood George Tiller had on his own hands. No private individual had the right to execute judgment against him. We are a nation of laws. Lawless violence breeds only more lawless violence. Rightly or wrongly, George Tilller was acquitted by a jury of his peers. "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord." For the sake of justice and right, the perpetrator of this evil deed must be prosecuted, convicted, and punished. By word and deed, let us teach that violence against abortionists is not the answer to the violence of abortion. Every human life is precious. George Tiller's life was precious. We do not teach the wrongness of taking human life by wrongfully taking a human life. Let our "weapons" in the fight to defend the lives of abortion's tiny victims, be chaste weapons of the spirit.
— Robert P. George is McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University.
